I'll keep it short and sweet as an introduction because my eyes hurt. It's either my glasses - which I got from Specsavers and they put the lenses in the wrong way round and for 6 months no one believed me when I said the ground looked like it was 10 inches away from my face- or the fact I am sitting in a room which is basking in a dingy red glow.
I went to a screening of Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth' last week. Some of the stories he told had me cringing but when he busted out his charts it's pretty scary stuff! When it finished I was already late to meet some friends so had to leave halfway through the debate at the end and before they'd handed out the free energy saving lightbulbs. Then half an hour after I got home my freaking light bulb ran out so im now feeling my way round my room by ten pink flowery fairy lights.
One way to save the world: forget your feminist principles and become incapable of changing a light bulb. Then you save money on electricity and can splash out on a lovely big taxi instead of catching the bus...
